When you lose all of your teeth, facial muscles can sag, making you look older. Dentures can help fill out the appearance of your face and profile. With full arch dentures your smile will look more natural and you will look younger.
A Complete Denture can be an option for you if all of your teeth have been missing for at least 6 months.
With a worn out denture or if you need to replace the Immediate Denture with a more custom look and fitting, this is a great solution. The process for this denture can take several weeks to ensure the proper custom fit. You'll want to make sure it's done correctly.
The benefits of dentures include:
If you currently have teeth in need of extraction the Immediate Denture is a temporary denture made before your teeth are removed to ensure you will never be without teeth!
The denture lab will fabricate a denture specifically for your mouth. This process is more of an art than a science and therefore could have adjustments that the individual would want to change. Immediate dentures are made slightly hollowed out to allow for swelling in the gum tissue and bone after the extractions. REMEMBER this is not a complete denture and is not yet custom fit to your tissues. This denture will not fit correctly for the first few weeks BUT It will get better! We can fix that!
The gum tissue will swell and then shrink and change over several months. Don't worry we will help! We will schedule you back at specific times in order to do a soft reline. A gel like material is added to the inside of the denture and moulds to the new shape of the tissue after healing.
The material hardens but is still softer than the acrylic of the denture to help cushion the tissue while healing. This also makes the denture fit a little better and is much more comfortable.
After 6 months of healing you can chose to do a permanent reline to the immediate denture to turn it into a complete denture or you can chose to have a new complete denture made.
Dentures are removable appliances that are made to replace all missing teeth in a single arch and help restore your smile. If you’ve lost all of your natural teeth, whether from gum disease, tooth decay or injury, replacing missing teeth will benefit your appearance and your health.
Our dentures are fabricated in the US at Rayven Dental Lab in Colorado.
